Russian Make Over

When I was in HS, we had a russian exchange student. A whole volleyball team came over to play against some local high schools, mine being one of them. So my family got to have an exchange student stay with us. She isn't in this layout, but her name was Anna. She was like 6'2", very quiet. I could tell that she missed home. She had fun when we did team type things, but I think maybe I was a little too wild for her. I was about 1000 times more peppy then I am now. So I am guessing that I would even be annoyed with the 17 year old me.

Christmas 1980

Well here is one of me back in the 80's. I got ice skates. When I look at the pictures from then I think about how much technology has changed. Even the pics that I took when DJ was a baby. Now, digital is so easy and so much better, for me at least.

Were going bowling!

We usually do something as a family on New Years Eve. The kids like that now. I am sure it will change, but for now... we go bowling. Tyler was so excited! This is in 2000, going into 2001. Tyler was just shy of 4 years old.

Dress Up!

Here is a picture of DJ evidently helping with laundry. She would wear this purple dress all day, everyday. She loved to play dress up. This is actually a dress she found up north. It was one that I had worn when I was a child. I think I might even have a picture of me in it.

Baby Shower

Here is a picture of me from 1994. My friend claudia threw me a shower at her house. It was so fun. I had nothing for DJ. I got a ton of stuff. In this picture, I remember thinking... this diaper is going to fit the baby? It is so small. I couldn't believe they were that small. I guess that sorta tells how much experiance I had w/ babies... none!

DJ & I, 1995

Wow, looking back huh? 11 years ago. Of course, DJ is young, and I look so much younger. Oh well at least I earned everything I have (wrinkles, double chin, stretch marks). J/K. I got this picture taken of us for Christmas. I think DJ actually had three other Christmas pictures taken because people kept giving me such cute dresses for her. It was great because I would just get the Wal'mart 3.99 package and got to play dress up with DJ. This one is special to me though. We had a rough time that year. I was 22, didn't know anything about anything and just trying to learn to be a mom and a woman. Even without a whole heck of anything we still look pretty happy, and we were.

Can I spend the night?

Here is a new page of DJ and cousin Destiny. She was wanting to spend the night, but DJ was already having some friends over, so we had to say no. Dest wasn't too happy.

Fireworks

Well I did seem to get a few good pictures of our local firework display. The pictures are photoshop magic. These are a bunch of small pictures pasted to look like one. The display was awful (and that is being too nice), this year. It was 9 minutes long with a 2 minute screw up in there somewhere. I normally have a better time at one of the local festivals fireworks, but I didn't think the county ones would be as bad as they were this year. So here is what I did with the pictures that I did get.

DJ and a puppy

I loved this picture of DJ, she is holding the puppy so lovingly. It is one of the pictures where she didn't really know I was taking it! So I dont get the attitude. This picture is real. Real DJ.
